All Satellite and Midday Symposia, Promotional Theaters and Function requests must be approved and coordinated through ASHP.

Commercially-Supported Educational Activities

Midday Symposia are two hour educational sessions which take place Monday-Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The fee is $15,000.00 for exhibitors or $20,000.00 per program for non-exhibitors. To learn more about Midday Symposia, read our Midday Symposia Guidelines.

Please note that food and beverage (i.e., boxed lunches) are no longer provided to attendees of the Midday Symposia held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the Midyear that are funded by commercial supporters. This policy was established by ASHP in consideration of commercial supporters that have opted to exclude food at all continuing education activities for healthcare providers for which grant support has been provided based on their policies related to the Physician Payments Sunshine Act. In addition, the Midday Symposia have been shortened by 30 minutes to allow attendees to eat lunch after the symposia. Alternatively, attendees are free to bring their lunch to the meeting room and enjoy it during the educational activity.

Satellite Symposia are educational sessions which take place at official meeting hotels, Saturday-Wednesday, during times that do not conflict with ASHP programs and exhibits. The fee is $6,750.00 per hour (one hr. minimum) for exhibitors or $11,750.00 per hour (one hr. minimum) for non-exhibitors. Commercially-Supported Promotional Activities

Promotional Theaters are informational and/or promotional in nature and CE credits are not offered for attendance. These presentations take place at official meeting hotels and the convention center, Monday and Tuesday. The fee is $34,000.00 per program for exhibitors or $50,000.00 per program for non-exhibitors . Please review the ASHP Promotional Theaters Guidelines. Conducting Meetings and Social Events

Business Functions for business meetings, focus groups, advisory boards, and other related activities may be scheduled at official meeting hotels, Saturday through Wednesday, during times that do not conflict with ASHP programs and exhibits. The ASHP fee is $1,750.00 per function/day for 50 people or less and $6,500.00 for business functions over 50 people. It is calculated per function per day. Full payment must be submitted online using a credit card. Organizations may be charged additional fees by the hotel, including but not limited to room rental, food/beverage, audiovisual equipment, and internet service. Requests will be processed and scheduled at hotels on a first-come, first-served basis and will be considered based on hotel availability. A hotel representative will contact you directly to confirm meeting space and coordinate arrangements. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days to process your request. Social Functions for receptions and other related activities may be scheduled at official meeting hotels during times that do not conflict with ASHP programs or exhibits. ASHP does not charge a fee to conduct these functions, but organizations may be charged additional fees by the hotel, including but not limited to room rental, food/beverage, audiovisual equipment, and internet service. Requests will be processed and scheduled at hotels on a first-come, first-served basis and will be considered based on hotel availability.
